Some things just don’t go well with winter. Bathing suits and suntan lotion come to mind, as do outdoor garden hoses. Left exposed, the water inside that hose can freeze your faucets and connecting pipes as well. Disconnect your garden hose, wrap it up, and pack it away. Put in the shed, in the garage, in the basement. Send it to Florida. Don’t let something as innocent as a garden hose be the cause of burst pipes, and the heartache and woe that go with them.
