How We Became Atlanta’s Best Plumber
In 1985, the Zurns took steps to follow Ted and Wendy’s long-term goal of starting their own Atlanta plumbing business. They opened with a single truck and took calls from their home office. After more than 35 years, the business has grown to more than 20 hard-working employees, including the Zurn’s children, Matt and Lisa.
Ted & Wendy Zurn
Ted is a third-generation Master Plumber who managed a full-service plumbing company for ten years before starting Zurn Plumbing. He attended Penn State University and served in the military during the Vietnam War. He enjoys boating and playing his trumpet in the church orchestra.
Wendy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and has been the office supervisor from the beginning. Besides being a fantastic cook, she enjoys the lake, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Matt Zurn
Matt graduated from SPSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is also a licensed Master Plumber. He is the general manager at Zurn, but at home, he’s a “happy camper.” On the weekends, you can find him and his wife, Julie, taking their children on incredible adventures in their RV.
Lisa Zurn Burns
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Medical College of Georgia and after a short career as a Medical Technologist, she rejoined Zurn as office support. Now she wears many hats at Zurn including marketing and HR. She enjoys tennis, swimming, and planning adventures with her husband Dave and their boys.
Zurn Man
For years, our customers have said, “Just call the Zurn man!” making our company the go-to name for reliable plumbing. That line inspired a napkin sketch at break time, and after a facelift and a fresh uniform, Zurn Man was named. Now the familiar face of our company, he shows up on the road and online to deliver tips, offers, and more.
